Yeah, there's progress to report on my next book 🙂 The weather has been amazing here so far this Spring, how about with you? My dogs are loving it too. There's a new one to meet here, and two new authors to discover, coincidentally both taking place in the mermaid space.

The day job, for now....?

If you've come across my Author Bio you will know that I train guide dogs for the blind. This month I’m introducing you to another star in my training squad. 

This boy is an absolute clown. He’s hardworking and brilliant, but he is a clown. When I want him to take up a position tightly next to my side, instead of moving there graciously, this boy does it in a flamboyant jump. He also does it with a huge grin on his face and he just seems to be so proud of himself when he’s done something right. I can’t possibly be in a bad mood when I train him because of quirks like this.

He’s also got a really sweet, sensitive side. When I stroke his head softly just once, he presses his head against my side. It’s a very comforting thing. It really depends on my energy which side of him comes out. Because with a soft stroke comes the comfort. But with some more exciting scratching, he’ll toss his entire body weight at me, land on his back with his feet in the air, with the message: scratch my belly! And then he happens to look up at me, too, with a goofy grin or with his tongue sticking out.

He’s a lovely animal, and I can picture him with a younger client, with whom he can go out and discover the world together! He’ll definitely be able to bring someone out of their comfort zone because he’s just so fun loving and energetic. Whoever gets this boy will be very lucky indeed.
