This dog hasn’t been
trained by me from the beginning of her training to be a guide dog, but by one of my colleagues. But I will be the one to deliver her to her future client. Someone I have already picked out and who has already met her. So, I now know where this girl is going to live and what type of routes she’ll have to do guide work on. I also know that she’s going to have an awesome roommate! The client’s retired guide dog is still living with him. She is ten years old, and she came with her client to meet
this two-year-old, bouncy sweetheart. The two of them got along instantly, which was one of the most important things this client wanted to be assured of. Understandably so! I never had any doubts, however. I’d met this client and his retired dog long ago when she wasn’t retired yet. I knew the two girls would hit it off and that the client would fall in love with my new star, too! There’s a few weeks left before the instruction, but I already can’t wait to get started! And I know that this girl
can’t wait to get out into the real world, too, and show off all the guiding she can do brilliantly already.
