This beautiful girl
is three-quarter German Shepherd en one-quarter Golden Retriever. I have trained two Shepherd crosses before, and I have to say that they are my absolute favourite types of dogs to train. So I was very, very excited to get this beauty in training. And even better: I also get to deliver her to her future client. But we’re not there yet. She’s only halfway through her guide dog training, which was a real struggle in the beginning. At the start, she had nooo clue what she was supposed to do. She
also got distracted by everything. And I mean eeeeeverything. Every sound, soft or loud, or the movement of a single leaf like 50 yards away. And her nose…. Everything she smelled she needed to know where it came from. To get her to walk in a straight line on the pavement was a challenge in itself.
