The day job, for now....?
If you've come across my Author Bio you will know that I train guide dogs for the blind. Last month I introduced you to little thunderbolt Lieke. This month I’ll be telling you about another tiny bundle of energy. Meet this little blonde lab whose name I sadly cannot share with you. This pretty girl with the big smile
is an enigma. She has two completely separate personalities, both of which I have come to love dearly even when they annoy me. The one personality comes out when she isn’t wearing her harness. That is when she is the bounciest, fastest, most energetic dog you will ever see. On the lead she can barely contain herself and off leash she runs circles and circles and circles until I’m sure she gets dizzy, and then she runs a few more. Then when she is in harness, her other personality comes out. She
turns ultra serious then, keeping her gaze fixed straight ahead of her and focussing entirely on the job at hand. She walks slower too; much slower than you’d expect from that racehorse off leash.
